Enjoyed a peaceful, cosy, spontaneous weekend with green meadows, a barbeque, wine, a lake and great music.
Slept in a tent. Watched cows graze. Water glisten. A pup romp in the mud. Was made to understand the nuances of an artist’s sketches (made when the artist is feeling ‘trippy’). The weekend was trippy.

That was a real motivation to read. I am planning to do walk/jog the 10K marathon in June and it was truly inspiring to read your post. There are plenty of reasons that I would do it, but I still keep thinking if I did the right thing by registering for it, the first and foremost being that am I fit enough? But as I read through your post, it does hit me that you are absolutely right, it is a mind thing

Thank you for this. I am in similar position, as in attempting to push myself and my body to do what I never dreamed of or thought capable of considering injuries, weight gain and general malaise.
I intend to walk/run the 5K in May, but am attempting it this Saturday just to see if I can do it. It will be a big challenge, and your post has helped immensely. It is a mind thing.
