My trip to Wafflles was yummylicious .

(Notice the extra ‘l’ in waffles. That’s numerology at work. And it seems to be working for them.)

This place is located at Kemp’s Corner. Just take a right at the flyover (under it ie) and keep going until you spot Gangar Opticians on the right. Take the lane going in and you’ll spot W.

The inside is brightly lit and bustling with ravenous and garraulous people of all shapes, ages and sizes. The menu has lots of sweet and savoury waffles, as well as regular continental and even Indian fare. So, if you love a crispy waffle and your buddy doesn’t, there’s something on the menu for both of you.

It’s been a long day at work and Chef Ryan suggests the perfect one for me – Unwind. The waffle at the bottom has a slightly sweet taste and is topped up with a mountain of chicken, basil sauce and chopped red, yellow and green peppers. It’s got a super flavour and half way through the meal (and it is like a full meal), I am satiated and can’t eat any more.

This is followed by half a cookie, which they have made themselves. It’s pretty good too.

Next, Nikhil the manager points to the next table and says, “Now it’s time to have that”. I looked in that direction and gasped. There’s a sweet waffle of chocolate, ice cream and other treats, the size of a monster! Very tempting, but I decline.

They have a well-stocked bar too, which I thought was very cool. Somehow, I didn’t expect a place like this to one one.

They plan to come to Bandra soon, and I can’t wait for that to happen. Fingers crossed.
