Rang De Basanti is awesome!
It has a great concept, something you don’t see too much in a Hindi films, today. The performances are great. The dialogues are wicked.
You might find it a wee bit idealistic. But since I am an idealist, I related to it completely.

That was a real motivation to read. I am planning to do walk/jog the 10K marathon in June and it was truly inspiring to read your post. There are plenty of reasons that I would do it, but I still keep thinking if I did the right thing by registering for it, the first and foremost being that am I fit enough? But as I read through your post, it does hit me that you are absolutely right, it is a mind thing

Thank you for this. I am in similar position, as in attempting to push myself and my body to do what I never dreamed of or thought capable of considering injuries, weight gain and general malaise.
I intend to walk/run the 5K in May, but am attempting it this Saturday just to see if I can do it. It will be a big challenge, and your post has helped immensely. It is a mind thing.
