[...]NEW RESOLUTIONS « Lapses of lingy…[...]…
hey rads and Geetha, thanks for your comments. Glad Suraj’s write-up motivated you both. All the best for the marathon in June, Geetha!!! come and read the post in case you feel low about it at any time…also, here’s something a friend shared yest:
“Don’t aim at success—the more you aim at it and make it a target, the more you are going to miss it. For success, like happiness, cannot be pursued; it must ensue, and it only does so as the unintended side-effect of one’s dedication to a cause greater than oneself or as the by-product of one’s surrender to a person other than oneself.
– Victor Frankl , Man’s Search for Meaning
Hi madam, I am liking you a lot
Thanks so much for this, Merril.
That was a real motivation to read. I am planning to do walk/jog the 10K marathon in June and it was truly inspiring to read your post. There are plenty of reasons that I would do it, but I still keep thinking if I did the right thing by registering for it, the first and foremost being that am I fit enough? But as I read through your post, it does hit me that you are absolutely right, it is a mind thing
Indeed.
Thank you for this. I am in similar position, as in attempting to push myself and my body to do what I never dreamed of or thought capable of considering injuries, weight gain and general malaise.
I intend to walk/run the 5K in May, but am attempting it this Saturday just to see if I can do it. It will be a big challenge, and your post has helped immensely. It is a mind thing.

actually it was about 8:45 pm!
What about Clyde Miranda? Nice boy. Mother plays the Piano. Father is well known in the village. His grand uncle is a Parish Priest in the village of Sangolda. What do you think? Huh?????
Make up your mind. I am getting a cut on this deal.
Since when did you start pimping?
And you are supposed to be a daddy soon… hmmm
Yes Yes…. I work on commission. I pimp my neighbour’s poodle
. She is a favourite in the local area. All the dogs love her. They buy me expensive gifts.
Hey…. what about Clyde? By the way….. his uncle lives in Lisbon and he has willed all his property to Clyde.
I once asked a friend if he was gay. He said no.
He said, ” When I fall in love, it could be with a man, woman or animal, it does not matter.”
I was like okay, but could be spare the animals, please?
Clyde is male. and not gay.
So, what’s the commision Sandeep?
BTW will be reporting all your dubious activities to my mom who for some strange reason thinks you are a gem.
You must be exposed!
Nah…no ways!
