We sat on the beach watching the sun rise 
to a new morn and a new year…it was bliss…with the sounds of the waves, the gentle breeze and the sand beneath my feet… I have never seen a sunrise more goregeous, in the company of my best friends…

That was a real motivation to read. I am planning to do walk/jog the 10K marathon in June and it was truly inspiring to read your post. There are plenty of reasons that I would do it, but I still keep thinking if I did the right thing by registering for it, the first and foremost being that am I fit enough? But as I read through your post, it does hit me that you are absolutely right, it is a mind thing

Thank you for this. I am in similar position, as in attempting to push myself and my body to do what I never dreamed of or thought capable of considering injuries, weight gain and general malaise.
I intend to walk/run the 5K in May, but am attempting it this Saturday just to see if I can do it. It will be a big challenge, and your post has helped immensely. It is a mind thing.

Well Ney Year was a very bad experience… no Clube Harmonia de Margao…. no Cha cha cha… just a sad mid night dinner at Suzie’s place. So we brought in the new year staring at some rather sad looking Beef Stroganoff and wine.
